Victory's North Stanmore Selected for Government Critical Minerals Prospectus

Austrade's investment platform gives North Stanmore another route to international investors and strategic partners. Inclusion is a visibility milestone, not a funding or offtake commitment.

Company update · 27 October 2026

More visibility for North Stanmore, not a funding commitment. Victory Metals (ASX: VTM) says its 100%-owned North Stanmore Heavy Rare Earth Project has been included in the Australian Government's Critical Minerals Prospectus, administered by Austrade.

The prospectus showcases Australian projects to international investors, financiers, prospective offtake partners and strategic industry participants. For Victory, it provides another route to put North Stanmore in front of counterparties seeking diversified supplies of heavy rare earths outside China.

What the announcement does not say: inclusion is not a grant, government financing package, project guarantee, offtake agreement or approval to begin commercial production. The release announces access to an investment-promotion platform.

Heavy rare earths are the focus

North Stanmore, near Cue in Western Australia, contains dysprosium, terbium and yttrium, materials used across advanced manufacturing, defence and other high-performance technologies. Victory identifies potential demand from the United States, Japan, Europe, India, South Korea and Vietnam; these markets are opportunities, not contracted customers in this release.

The development case presented to investors

Victory says a completed pre-feasibility study, maiden Ore Reserve, granted Mining Lease and operational pilot plant provide a platform for further partner discussions. Those are existing milestones cited in the release, not new achievements announced by the prospectus inclusion.

The company also highlights its weathered mineralogy and a beneficiation route intended to produce a heavy-rare-earth-enriched concentrate without the complex high-temperature mineral cracking used by many conventional rare earth deposits. This is Victory's project description; it does not remove the need to demonstrate product specifications, consistent recoveries and acceptable economics at operating scale.

What would make this more material?

The next evidence to watch is whether visibility converts into substantive agreements: financing terms, binding offtake, strategic investment or other commercial arrangements. Project funding, construction execution, downstream qualification and commodity prices remain important risks. The 27 October announcement does not introduce a new valuation or investment timetable.
