Manhattan Gold Corporation Limited (ASX: MHC) has delivered another set of broad gold intercepts from the Jaws target at its Hook Lake Project in Nunavut, Canada, adding continuity and strike length to the high-grade system outlined by the company’s first assay batch.
The second round of results was led by 25.90m at 1.59g/t gold from 89.92m in JWS26005, including 6.10m at 3.62g/t gold. A separate hole, JWS26006, returned 22.86m at 2.37g/t gold from 74.68m, including 1.52m at 26.8g/t gold.

Four holes add breadth and continuity
- JWS26003b: 12.20m at 1.54g/t Au from 115.82m, including 3.04m at 4.98g/t Au, plus additional mineralised intervals.
- JWS26004: 35.05m at 1.23g/t Au from 124.97m, including 9.14m at 2.52g/t Au.
- JWS26005: 25.90m at 1.59g/t Au from 89.92m, including 6.10m at 3.62g/t Au.
- JWS26006: 22.86m at 2.37g/t Au from 74.68m, including 1.52m at 26.8g/t Au.
JWS26005 extends confirmed drilling approximately 154m southwest of JWS26002. Across the broader target, the announcement maps high-grade mineralisation over roughly 220m of northeast-southwest strike, while the system remains open along strike and at depth.
Modern drilling is improving the geological model
Two outcomes matter beyond the headline grades. First, multiple new intervals are thicker and higher grade than nearby 1988 drilling. Second, modern collar control indicates the main shear zone sits approximately 20–30m northwest of the position inferred from historic paper plans.
That revised geometry gives Manhattan a stronger basis for targeting stacked quartz veins and interpreted higher-grade plunging shoots. The new drilling also suggests some historic holes were oriented down dip and may not have captured the mineralised system’s full thickness.
What it means for the investment case
The first Jaws results established that modern drilling could reproduce and improve on the historic system. This follow-up batch is important because it begins to show that broad mineralisation is not confined to one standout hole. The combination of repeated widths, high-grade internal zones and a southwest strike extension further reduces the geological uncertainty highlighted in our original Manhattan Gold research.
The project remains early stage. Reported intervals are downhole lengths rather than confirmed true widths, Jaws does not yet have a JORC-compliant Mineral Resource, and substantial drilling is still required to define continuity and scale. Even so, the follow-up results strengthen the case that Jaws is a broader and potentially higher-grade system than the historic dataset alone suggested.

More assays remain pending
Assays are pending for another 12 RC holes, including JWS26008 below the historic Jaws footprint, three holes at the Spectre copper-zinc VMS target and the first-ever drillhole at the Lotus precious-metals target. A regional till-sampling program has also started across priority areas around the Omega banded iron formation.
